ATHENS, 2018.

Athens, a carved white marble metabolism eating up hills.

CONTRADICTIONS

The edge of the Western world and the genesis of the European identity.
The accumulator of voluntary influxes of tourists and involuntary immigrants.
The amorphous sea of generic white buildings, holding its perfect monuments of architecture.

A city in crisis.

The space of the city speaks more than an economic or political ambiguity; rather a city overlooked and under-examinded. An amalgamation of eye-level flows of Voids (Tunnels) and a narrow sky.

Spinning in red sunsets and windy mornings.

A palette of ugly, dodgy, smelly, noisy.

Keeper of punctural gems, independently occupying space within a built nothingness, as spatial and social monuments.

A city of reasons and stories.

Athens, a romantic brutality.
